We are so close to the release of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes! I am so excited for this book I have a countdown going! I wrote about my theory about what will go down in my book in an earlier post! You can click here to read that post! Since these books are my absolute favorite, I will be ranking the books as to which one was my favorite, and which was my least favorite. I really love all of these books, so this may be a little difficult.
At number three, we have Mockingjay. There are some people who this series came to an end, but I loved it! I really didn’t know how it all was going to end, but I loved that we added an extra hidden villain into the series! It’s getting the number three place because I feel like it needed to be two books. There was so much going on in this book, a rescues mission, training, a wedding, taking down two political leaders, a huge, dangerous mission, and more. Also, we had the death of Prim. I feel like there needed to be more focus on that and Gale’s involvement.
At number two, we have Catching Fire. I love this idea of this book! I wish we could have had Haymitch in the games! That would have been a lot of fun to watch, and I think there was a lot that could have been done. I see why Suzanne did it, I love the way it set up for the next book, but I feel like the Haymitch storyline would have been amazing! I also didn’t like how at odds Peeta and Katniss were. I feel like Peeta wouldn’t have been that angry with her. I mean, she did keep him alive, and she would have never killed him in the games.
The best book on the series is, of course, is The Hunger Games. I love this book! It was the book that got me into reading, and the love may blind me to the flaws of this book. This book has me on the edge of my seat when I am reading it. I know exactly what happens, but I get so wrapped up in this world that I just forget until I come back out. I really don’t have any many complaints about this book, and maybe that’s because it holds a special place in my heart.
How would you rank these books? Let me know in the comments!
